ABOUT me

I’ve had a camera in my life for many years, although our relationship has never been particularly straightforward. There were times when I hardly put it down, and others when I barely picked it up. Somewhere along the way, my reasons for taking photographs changed too.

What hasn’t changed is what I value in photography itself: spontaneity, sincerity, natural light, the moment and the freedom to improvise.

Today, photography is still very much a part of my life, but it has increasingly become a starting point rather than a destination. I often return to an image, start digging, and discover the history, geology, culture, or human story connected to what I saw.

A place or an event becomes much easier to understand — and much harder to forget — once you have seen it with your own eyes and discovered some of the layers behind it.

Photography has become a way of asking questions — a reason to pay closer attention to the world, to become curious about what I see, and to understand a little more of what lies beneath the surface.

P.S. And it’s still a beautiful excuse to have fun, go outside, and get to know the world :)
